A generator needs fuel during an outage; solar provides another power source. Buy mode prices are references. Use your actual outage spending when comparing the two.

Requirements

Use pay received after deductions. Add side gigs and other income separately; a blank tax field remains unknown. Scenario B changes only shift pay, keeping other assumptions fixed.
